One of the clearest indicators of a particular operating efficiency is its transparency. It is primarily the interface between the user and the mysterious and complex combination of hardware / software, the operating system is more effective when it does its work quietly, without even being noticed by the user. Why then, despite taking this different operating systems (also called OS) have their share of rabid fans and critics equally mad? If the primary objective of the OS is doing his job and stay out of sight, should they not all equally suited to the task? The answer lies perhaps the most visible components of an operating system. How it works, how it is good to do its work, how easy it is to learn, and sometimes even how it looks, all these factors that can make or break the operating system to the extent that end users are affected .

Today the two pretenders to largely dominate the playing field for hosting OS: Unix and Windows on one side to the other side. Although the two have many features similar to each other, they are as different as two pieces of software can be. Both of them are certainly suited to the task, and you can not go wrong with either of them. As with many areas having to do with computers, the learning curve is always a primary consideration, and the operating system is no different. Many webmasters have an important responsibility to complete and they would not normally have the patience to learn an operating system from scratch. For this reason, many web masters would choose the direction of a more familiar OS, which has especially often than not, is Windows. While there is certainly a lot of people who used Unix-based systems relatively easy learning curve is generally a little steeper, causing the scale to tip in favor of Windows.
